Leh, Sept 01: In a major shot in arm, the Ladakh Union Territory (UT) Dairy Cooperative Federation on Sunday won praises from Dr Pawan Kotwal, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, and Dileep Sanghani, President of the National Cooperatives Union of India.
The huge praise came as the Ladakh Union Territory (UT) Dairy Cooperative Federation actively participated in the “Workshop on Promotion and Development of Cooperatives in Ladakh,” organized by the UT Administration of Ladakh in collaboration with the National Cooperatives Union of India (NCUI).
The event, aimed at fostering the growth of cooperatives in the region, brought together key stakeholders to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperative efforts and empowering rural communities.
During the workshop, Managing Director of the Ladakh UT Dairy Cooperative Federation, Manoj Solucky, made a significant impact by demonstrating the advanced quality testing equipment used by the cooperative.
He also presented the premium dairy products produced under the brand name “Ladakh Oma” to Dr Pawan Kotwal, Advisor to the LG of Ladakh, and Dileep Sanghani, President of the NCUI.
A statement said: The demonstration highlighted the federation’s commitment to maintaining high standards in dairy production, ensuring that only the finest quality milk products reach consumers in Leh-Ladakh and beyond. The premium products under the “Ladakh Oma” brand have become a symbol of the region’s dedication to quality and sustainability in dairy farming.
“Ladakh Oma” has not only established itself as a trusted name in dairy products but has also played a vital role in empowering rural farmers. The cooperative’s efforts have provided local farmers with the resources and support needed to enhance their livelihoods, thereby contributing to the overall economic development of the region.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Pawan Kotwal praised the cooperative’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of quality control and innovation in the dairy sector. Dileep Sanghani, too, lauded the Ladakh UT Dairy Cooperative Federation for its role in setting new benchmarks for cooperative development in Ladakh.
The Ladakh UT Dairy Cooperative Federation remains steadfast in its mission to uplift the rural farming community, deliver the highest quality milk products, and continue to be a leader in the cooperative movement in the region. The workshop concluded with a renewed commitment from all participants to drive the cooperative movement forward, ensuring sustainable growth and prosperity for Ladakh.
