- “Local Development Projects Receive Enthusiastic Support”
Leh, Aug 28: In a significant move towards regional development, Councillor Panamik conducted a comprehensive survey to assess the implementation of newly approved schemes under the Capex Budget. The survey, carried out in collaboration with AE R&B Sub Division Stanzin Takpa and JE Stanzin Dawa R&B Nubra, covered three major projects totaling Rs15 Crores.
The projects include the development of Yarma Gonbo (Rs 5 Crores), upgradation of road, parking, and footpath at Entsa Monastery (Rs 5 Crores), and construction of a link road, parking, and gate at Murgi Village (Rs 5 Crores). These initiatives aim to enhance infrastructure and accessibility in the region.
The survey saw active participation from a diverse group of stakeholders, including venerable monks from Entsa and Yarma Gonbo Monasteries, local society leaders, and village representatives from over 10 different communities. Notably, the Yarma Gonbo Society President, Nambardars of Kobet and Khemi Halga, and village members from Panamik Yokma, Panamik Gokma, and Phukpochey at Entsa monastery were among the participants.
The survey was met with overwhelming positivity. Participants eagerly shared their views and expressed gratitude to Councillor Panamik for securing approval for these much-needed projects. The enthusiastic response underscores the projects’ potential impact on local communities and their alignment with regional development needs.
This collaborative approach to project planning and the widespread community involvement signal a promising step towards inclusive and sustainable development in the area. As these projects move forward, they are expected to significantly improve local infrastructure and quality of life for residents across multiple villages and monasteries in the region.
