  • Takes “alliance of contradiction” jibe at Congress-NC Alliance

‘400 Plus For Modi’ Is Common People’s Demand: Dr JitendraJammu, Aug 27: Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Udhampur, Dr. Jitendra Singh, delivered a strong address today, reinforcing the BJP’s commitment to its cadre and taking sharp digs at the Congress and National Conference (NC) alliance. Speaking at a gathering, Dr. Singh emphasized the unity within the BJP, stating, “BJP is a cadre-based party. Be it any elections—Assembly, Lok Sabha, Panchayats, or Local Bodies—we unitedly fought for the Lotus. We have this faith that we will get the majority.”
Dr. Singh criticized the newly-formed alliance between the Congress and NC, describing it as an “alliance of contradiction” that he believes will eventually be exposed to the public. “As I said, we have freed the people of Congress as well,” he added, suggesting that the BJP has significantly diminished the influence of Congress in the region.
In a pointed remark, Dr. Singh credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming the security situation in Jammu & Kashmir, particularly in the Valley. Referring to the ability of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to move freely in areas that were once heavily restricted, he said, “Nowadays, their leaders come to have ice cream at Lal Chowk. This situation and this environment have been created by PM Modi. He (PM Modi) has made such a situation that whenever Rahul Gandhi wants, he can roam around in this valley of Kashmir, Lal Chowk, and can go to any restaurant.”
Dr. Singh’s speech underscores the BJP’s confidence ahead of upcoming elections and highlights the party’s narrative of having brought stability and normalcy to the region under PM Modi’s leadership. The minister’s remarks also reflect the BJP’s broader strategy of challenging opposition alliances, particularly in politically sensitive areas like Jammu & Kashmir.
The Congress and NC have yet to respond to Dr. Singh’s comments, but the remarks are likely to stir political discourse as the election season heats up in the region.
