Kargil : Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant B. Suse today chaired a meeting to review the arrangements ahead of the 9th Edition of Ladakh Zanskar Festival-2024 to be held from September 13 to 14.
SSP Kargil Shree Ram R; Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil; CPO; SE, PWD; SDM Zanskar; CMO; Chief Agriculture Officer; Accounts Officer to DC; Chief Horticulture Officer; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer; Deputy Secretary, LAACL Kargil; ARTO; AD DIPR Kargil besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of the arrangements related to the successful conduct of the two-day festival and various decisions were taken in the meeting.
DC Kargil directed the concerned departments to ensure all arrangements with regard to the festival like security, uninterrupted power, water supply, medical facilities, ambulances, tents, boarding and lodging of participants, conduct of archery exhibitions and stalls of different departments including banks.
Deputy Secretary, LAACL Kargil requested for vehicles for their department so that they can transport tents and other related equipment to the venue.
During the meeting, the DC Kargil directed for necessary promotion of the event through all media platforms and advertising boards.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner instructed all the concerned officers to put in place adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of cultural and literary programs.
