Leh :- Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, Tashi Gyalson, LAHDC, Leh has convened a meeting today in the conference hall of Council Secretariat, LAHDC, Leh regarding conduct of Special Eye Camp at Nubra.

Hon’ble Dy.Chairman Tsering Angchuk; EC for Minority, Ghulam Mehdi;Hon’ble Councillor Panamik Constituency, Tsering Sangdup; Hon’ble Councillor Kyagar Constituency, Rigzin Lhundup; President LBA Nubra ; CMO Leh; Medical Superintendent, SNM Hospital Leh; District President, BJP Nubra; Phande Lekjin Welfare society Director: Khanpo Konchok Dorjay; Eye camp coordinator, Dr. Kunzes Dolma; President, Chemet Dorjey; Vice President, Tsewang Motup; General Secretary, Tonyot Tashi and Treasurer, Urgyain Gyatso were present during the meeting and Hon’ble Councillor Hundar Constituency Kunzang Lotus attended virtually.

The Phande Lekchin Welfare Trust, in collaboration with LAHDC Leh and Tilangana Hospital, Kathmandu, is launching the Ladakh Eye Camp 2024.

This initiative aims to deliver essential eye care services to remote and underserved areas of Ladakh. The eye camp will provide comprehensive eye screenings, consultations, and follow up care at several locations throughout Ladakh. Medical teams will visit various villages in Nubra Subdivision, addressing the healthcare needs of communities with limited access to medical resources.

The program will begin with teams acclimatizing in Leh before traveling to their respective field locations. Screenings will be conducted at various Primary Health Centers (PHCs) in the region, with advanced operations planned for Leh and Kargil.

This collaborative effort highlights the commitment of the Phande Lekchin Welfare Trust, LAHDC Leh, and Tilangana Hospital to enhance eye health and provide critical medical services to some of the most isolated communities in Ladakh.
