Kargil : In a bid to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application, Govt HSS Paskyum recently organized a one-day industrial exposure tour for its Geography students. The tour, aimed at providing practical insights into the geographical and industrial landscape of the region, was flagged off by Principal Ishey Namgail and guided by Khadim Hussain, a dedicated Geography lecturer.

The excursion took students on a journey through several key industrial units in the Kargil region. Among the notable stops were the Dairy Farm Milk and Cheese at Pashkum, the Himalayan Bakery carry bag industry, and the petrol pump. Additionally, students visited the Apricot Dryer and Tomato Puree Factory in Hardass, as well as the Floor Mill in Kurbathang. This diverse itinerary allowed students to gain first-hand experience of various industrial operations and understand their significance in the local economy and environment.

Guided by Khadim Hussain, the tour proved to be both educational and engaging. Students were able to observe and analyze geographical concepts in a real-world context, enhancing their learning experience and sparking a greater interest in the field of Geography. “This excursion was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application,” Khadim Hussain remarked. “I am pleased to see the enthusiasm and curiosity it ignited in our students. Such experiences are crucial for their academic and professional growth.”

Principal Ishey Namgail praised Khadim Hussain, lab assistant Madam Batul, and supporting staff member Mr. Ali for their efforts in organizing the tour. Namgail emphasized the importance of such educational tours in providing a well-rounded understanding of the subject and preparing students for future academic and career pursuits.

Govt HSS Paskyum remains committed to offering enriching opportunities that enhance students’ learning experiences and support their overall development.
