Jammu 14 :- Based on reliable information about sale of dreaded Nylon thread (Gattu),a police team of PP Pounichak led by IC PP Pounichak PSI Vijay Kumar under the command of SHO PS Domana Insp Susheel Choudhary and supervision of SP Rural Sh. Brijesh Sharma,JKPS and SDPO Domana,Sh.Mudasir conducted raids in the shops of kite sellers in kabir colony area falling within the jd of PP Pounichak.
During raid, Police party seized 06 rolls of Nylon thread (Gattu) from a person who was engaged in selling Synthetic Nylon thread made in China which is banned in District Jammu.
The seller were identified Sumit Bassan S/O Makhan Lal R/O House No. 129 Lane No. 04 Jammu*. In this regard FIR under relevant section of law stand registered against above said person and further investigation is underway.
Jammu Police once again request the general public that use of Chinese threads popularly known as ‘Gattu’ in the market is banned and whoever uses and sell this, will be dealt according to law.
