Leh:- The University of Ladakh (UoL) organized an orientation session on the paperless NAAC Accreditation Process at Leh campus, the other day.

Dr. Popat Savaleram Tambade, IQAC Coordinator and Vice Principal at Prof. Ramkrishna More Arts, Commerce and Science College, Akurdi, Pune; and Dr. Pravin Bhagwat Cholke, faculty member at P.D.E.A’s Anantrao Pawar College, Pirangut, Pune were the resource persons for the session.

The session commenced with the welcome address delivered by Dr. Jigmat Dachen, Dean Students’ Welfare/IQAC Coordinator. Thereafter, Dean of Colleges, Dr. Phuntsog Angmo, presented mementoes and traditional Khataks to the resource persons.

Dr. Tambade spoke extensively on the various criteria and metrics involved in the NAAC accreditation process. His presentation provided a clear understanding of the essential components necessary for successful accreditation.

Also, Dr. Pravin Bhagwat Cholke delivered a lecture focusing on the key points to consider during the NAAC peer team visit to institutions. He emphasized the importance of innovation and startup initiatives within institutions to enhance their accreditation status.

Vice-Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. S.K. Mehta highlighted the critical role of faculty involvement in ensuring a smooth accreditation process. He urged all faculty members to contribute actively to this important task and extended his gratitude to the resource persons for their valuable insights and for taking the time to visit the Leh campus.

The orientation session saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of faculty members of the Leh Campus and the IQAC team of EJM College. The session was highly engaging, with curious faculty members actively participating in discussions. The resource persons addressed all queries comprehensively, ensuring a thorough understanding among the attendees.

The expert speakers are scheduled to visit the Kargil campus on 12th August 2024, where they will conduct a similar orientation session for the faculty members there. The session concluded on a positive note, leaving the faculty members well-informed and motivated to contribute to the university’s accreditation efforts.
