Kargil 10 :-  Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today paid a surprise visit to Government High School Baroo to address various concerns related to the school.

During the visit, the CEC interacted with teaching and non-teaching staff to assess the school’s educational performance over the past year and understand the issues faced by the institution.

A Parents-Teacher Meeting was also convened during the visit, where both the parents and school faculty brought to the CEC’s attention the urgent need for a mathematics teacher and the operationalization of a residential hostel to enhance student performance.

The school faculty also highlighted the necessity for CBSE-standard infrastructure to better align with the national curriculum.

In response, Dr Akhoon assured to provide a mathematics teacher soon. He also urged parents not to rely on unfair means like copying and emphasized the importance of genuine academic effort.

Furthermore, he informed that the Hill Council is coordinating with CBSE to potentially conduct exams in November-December in view of the harsh winter conditions in the region.

The faculty and parents expressed their gratitude for the CEC’s commitment to the education sector and looked forward to the resolution of their concerns.

Later, Dr Akhoon interacted with students of Class 9th, encouraging them to focus on their studies and make the most of the opportunities provided at the school.
