Jammu, July 31: In a proactive move to strengthen security measures for the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, SP City North convened a crucial meeting with representatives from hotels and restaurants. The session, held today at Hotel Vardan near the General Bus Stand, was organized by the Jammu District Police under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowabad.

The meeting, which was inaugurated by Pawan Gupta, President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Jewel area, aimed to bolster collaboration between the police and the hospitality sector. Gupta welcomed SP City North and other officers from the Sub Division Headquarters, underscoring the meeting’s importance in reinforcing the partnership between the police and local businesses.

SP City North provided a comprehensive overview of the current security landscape in Jammu and Kashmir, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance as Independence Day approaches. He emphasized the importance of proactive measures, advising hotel and restaurant representatives to meticulously document guest records and promptly report any suspicious activities. This approach is intended to prevent potential threats and ensure a safe environment for the community.

Throughout the session, SP City North and other officers addressed various issues raised by the attendees, ensuring that concerns were promptly resolved. The interactive dialogue fostered a sense of collective responsibility and cooperation among the participants.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Baldev Raj, Secretary of the Hotel and Restaurant Association. Raj expressed gratitude for the police’s proactive approach and the constructive engagement during the session, ending the meeting on a positive note with a shared commitment to maintaining security and safety in the community.
