During the return journey to Padum, Er Punchok Tashi and his team inspected ongoing developmental projects in Kargyak and its environs. Additionally, they visited High School Thangsoo, where discussions with school staff and students highlighted critical infrastructure needs, including staffing vacancies and improvements aligned with CBSE standards.
The villagers of Thangsoo presented their concerns regarding essential services such as healthcare, drinking water, irrigation canals, and infrastructure like the steel bridge. They submitted a memorandum outlining their demands to Er Punchok Tashi, who assured timely resolution of these issues.
The visit underscores LAHDC Kargil’s commitment to addressing local challenges and fostering development across Zanskar and its adjoining regions. Discussions and assessments conducted during this visit are expected to inform future actions aimed at enhancing the region’s socio-economic landscape.
