Leh, July 02: The Hunder Sand Dune Festival, a vibrant celebration of culture and community, continued its festivities into the second day with Dy. Chief Executive Councillor (Dy. CEC) Tsering Angchuk gracing the occasion as the chief guest. The event, held in the picturesque Hunder village in Nubra Valley, saw a lively gathering of local residents, distinguished guests, and enthusiastic tourists.
In his address, Dy. CEC Tsering Angchuk lauded the Hunder community for their dedication and effort in organizing the festival. He highlighted the positive impact of ongoing developmental initiatives in the Nubra sub-division, emphasizing how these projects are contributing to the growth and well-being of local communities. “The Sand Dune Festival is a testament to the spirit and resilience of the Hunder community. It not only celebrates our rich cultural heritage but also showcases the significant progress we are making in the region,” said Angchuk.
The festival featured a diverse array of local cuisine curated by the women’s community of Hunder. Among the distinguished guests were 102 Bridge Commander Hemanshu, Councillor Kunzang Lotus from Hunder, SDM Nubra, and heads of departments from the Nubra sub-division.
