Leh: The Hon’ble Chairman/ CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson visited Sakti (Tagar-Taknak), Chemday and Kharu villages of Sakti Constituency to review and assess public grievances during his official tour to the constituency today.
During the tour, CEC Gyalson interacted with public gatherings and gave a patient hearing to all the issues put forth by the villagers which majorly included, strengthening road infrastructures, infra development for schools, restoration of irrigation canals, issues regarding Jal Jeevan Mission, upgradation of Healthcare centre, issues regarding land distribution, etc. The villagers also raised various demands including the construction of Community Halls, the need for submersible water pumps, and the strengthening of Tele-connectivity networks.
H’CEC also visited Takthok and Chemday monasteries during the tour where he interacted with the Venerable monks and took stock of all the demands and issues that needed to be addressed on a priority basis for the welfare of the monastic communities.
After a thorough assessment of the villagers’ major grievances during the visit, CEC Tashi Gyalson instructed all the District Officers and Departmental HoDs to ensure timely resolution of the issues. Furthermore, he emphasised community participation in monitoring the progress of major developmental projects in their respective villages. He requested the villagers to timely flag all important issues on time so that the Administration could take timely necessary action. He also welcomed further representations on any kind of public and community level issues through the concerned public representatives to his office.
On behalf of the people of Sakti constituency, Hon’ble Councillor, Rigzin Tsering extended his gratitude to the Hill Council, Leh led by CEC Tashi Gyalson for completing major developmental projects. Similarly, Former CEC, Gyal P Wangyal also commended the efforts of LAHDC Leh and Ladakh Administration for ensuring good development in the villages of Sakti constituency. In addition, all the villagers of Sakti, Chemday and Kharu villages also wholeheartedly appreciated and expressed gratitude to H’CEC for addressing their major grievances.
Hon’ble Nominated Councillor, Phuntsog Nurboo, District Officers including SE PW(R&B) Leh, SE PDD Leh, CMO Leh, CEO Leh, DAO Leh, Xen and AEEs of R&B Construction, I&FC, PHE Divisions, all the sub-divisional officers/officials led by SDM Kharu and village representatives accompanied H’CEC during the day-long tour to Sakti Constituency.
