Leh: A 10 days Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) 3rd batch starts at DIET Leh today on February 19.
Experts from NIPUN Bharat Mission, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Lucknow will conduct ten days training.
In these ten days workshop the experts will give an overview on Contextualised Vidya Pravesh, Numeracy and Experiential learning of FLN under the guidelines of NIPUN Bharat mission.
Principal, DIET Leh Chetan Dorje welcomed and he assured that these ten day’s workshops will be very productive for the FLN teachers from various zones of Leh District. He further expressed that this kind of workshop is the need of the hour.
Around 85 FLN Teachers were present during the Inaugural session.
Likewise around 90 teachers attended the recently concluded six- day science (practical base) capacity building training program for science teachers of middle school of Leh district in 2 batches at DIET Leh.
Expert in Physics and Mentor Science Inspired Manak, Government of India, Dr. Munish Gulati emphasized that the teachers should remold themselves as a science, technology and engineering teachers instead of just science teacher, that is first teach science through demonstration, show application of concept on various technology and make students engineer concept with hand on designing products to address societal problems and move form definition and derivation to application. The teachers expressed gratitude to learn pedagogical skills to update themselves in their teaching learning process.
