Kargil, Feb 11: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani today chaired a meeting to review the arrangement for Zanskar Winter Sports and Tourism Festival-2024 to be held from February 14, 2024.The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Kargil, Executive Engineer Mechanical, Kargil, Executive Engineer PDD, Kargil, DPO/AD Information, Kargil, DYSSO, AD Tourism, Kargil, and other concerned officers.
SDM Zanskar, Deputy Secretary LAACL, Kargil and other concerned officers attended the meeting virtually. The SDM briefed the meeting about the arrangements and requirements for successfully conducting the winter festival.
It was informed that the inaugural and closing part of the event will be organized by the Cultural Academy and Tourism Department while the sports activities will be organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department, Kargil.
A threadbare discussion was held on various aspects of the arrangement related to the successful conduct of the annual event and various decisions were also taken in the meeting.
The ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure all arrangements for the festival like water supply, electricity, medical facilities, tents, boarding and lodging of participants.
He directed the concerned departments for the installation of stalls during the event. The ADC also instructed all the concerned officers to put in place adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of sports and cultural programs.
