Kargil, Feb 07: DDMA Kargil in collaboration with Indian Army, Health, Revenue, Mechanical, I&FC, PDD, MC, DIPR, UT-DRF, Fire & Emergency Services and other departments, conducted a disaster preparation-cum-mini mock drill exercise at Bus Stand, Kargil. The exercise was aimed to enhance disaster readiness in the district.
During the training session, Lt. Col. Joshi highlighted the significance of disaster preparedness, considering the vulnerability of the town area. The Army conducted a mock drill on landslide while UT-DRF presented a demo in CPR. The efforts aim to enhance the community’s resilience against potential disasters.
On the occasion, a doctor from Health Department Kargil briefed about First Aid, emphasizing its importance during disasters and I/c Fire Services Kargil highlighted their role in emergencies.
Tehsildar Kargil, Executive Engineer, I&FC, Executive Engineer, Mechanical, DPO Education, EO, MC Kargil, Doctor from Medical Department, I/c Fire Services Kargil, I/c UT-DRF were present during the event. In the end, Tehsildar Kargil, on behalf of DDMA Kargil, thanked all the concerned departments for the successful exercise.
