KIWG-2024 commence in Ladakh, LG Mishra welcomes all Dignitaries, Athletes

 Leh, Feb 02: Spectacular opening ceremony marked the beginning of fourth Khelo India Winter Games 2024 being held first time in Ladakh union territory.
Lt. Governor of Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) graced the opening ceremony of Khelo India Winter Games 2024 as the Chief Guest and was accompanied with other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Lt. Governor of Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and athletes representing various states.
In his address, he highlighted the significance of Khelo India, an initiative spearheaded by PM Modi, in nurturing sporting talent at the grassroots level.
He emphasized how this initiative has empowered athletes to excel in their respective fields, consequently brining pride to the nation on the international stage.
Advisor to Lt. Governor Dr Pawan Kotwal in his speech welcomed the dignitaries and athletes, and read the PM Modi’s message for historical event for Ladakh.

The vitality of Yuva Shakti fuels our nation particularly in sports fostering team work and healthy competition. We just witnessed conclusion the Khelo India Youth Games in Tamil Nadu. From to the Southern to the Northern tip the journey and spirit of Khelo India continues unabated.”
