Jammu, Jan 31: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today visited Kargil Boys Hostel Jammu to review the issues and demands of students studying in Jammu.
During the occasion, ALSWAJ members highlighted admission challenges facing by students in various colleges and universities of Jammu and Kashmir, and for financial support, to ALSWAJ.
The CEC inspected the various amenities being provided to the students.
Students apprised the CEC about water leakage, the necessity of air conditioners in the library, emergency medical assistance, installation of emergency kits in Mini Ambulance, scholarship verification of students studying in Srinagar, renovation of Kargil Boys Hostel and demanded transportation facilities to Kargil Girls Hostel Sidhra.
After a patient hearing, the CEC assured to resolve the issues raised by students and directed the concerned officers to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the renovation of Kargil Boys Hostel.
Further, he added that the welfare for the students is the top priority of the LAHDC.
The CEC encouraged students to dedicate themselves to their goals, acknowledging their important role as the backbone of society.
Dr Jaffer added that LAHDC Kargil is committed to address the issues and demands of students.
