Charasa, Jan 22: The quaint town of Charasa witnessed a spectacular display of tradition and skill as the 1st Karpoche Kahar conclusion unfolded at the Charasa archery grounds. The event, organized by Charasa Youth, aimed to preserve the rich cultural heritage of traditional archery, and the 1st edition of Karpoche Kahar Trophy was lifted by Taksha Red Team.A total of 22 teams participated in this historic tournament, showcasing their prowess in the ancient art of archery. Participants, adorned in traditional attire, brought to life the essence of an age-old practice that has been passed down through generations.
The chief guest for the concluding day was Councillor Rigzin Lundup. His presence added a dignified touch to the event, emphasizing the significance of cultural preservation in today’s fast-paced world. Lundup expressed his admiration for the efforts made by Charasa Youth in organizing such an event that celebrates the roots of our heritage.
The guest of honour for the occasion was Councillor Phuntsog Norboo. His gracious presence and support underscored the importance of community initiatives in safeguarding the unique cultural identity that defines the region. The Charasa Youth extended heartfelt gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and attendees for making this event a grand success.
