Kargil, Jan 21: Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra in presence of member of parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today inaugurated 160 slice CT-Scan machine, Modular Operation Theatre (MOT) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at District Hospital, Kargil.
Executive Councilor Social Welfare/ Agriculture, LAHDC Kargil Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, Superintendent of Police Kargil, Anayat Ali Chowdhary, Director Health Services, UT Ladakh, Dr Motup Dorje, Chairperson, Haj Committee UT of Ladakh, Mohammad Ali Majaz, Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Dr. Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan and other officers/officials were present during the inaugural ceremony.
While speaking on the occasion, the hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra affirms Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi’s dedication to nationwide progress, ensuring amenities reach every citizen, including those in Kargil district.
On the occasion, the hon’ble Lt. Governor assured that a state of art MRI machine will be purchased for the hospital, ensuring timely procurement.
Highlighting women empowerment in Shri Narendra Modi led government, he said that 33 percent reservation for women in elections has been announced. A transformative step towards inclusive governance.
Emphasizing national development, hon’ble Lt. Governor underscores the pivotal role of women’s education, recognizing its significance in fostering progress and advancement for the nation.
Addressing healthcare priorities, hon’ble Lt. Governor urges doctors to exhibit dedication and prioritize patient welfare.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse also spoke and welcomed hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, member of parliament, Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Executive Councilor Social Welfare/ Agriculture, LAHDC Kargil Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi and others on behalf of the district administration Kargil.
DC Kargil while giving cost details said that 160 slice CT-Scan machine costs 7.6 crore, while as Modular Operation Theatre (MOT) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) costs 2.67 crore and said it was monitored by hon’ble Lt. Governor for its timely completion.
Meanwhile, Hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra visited GM Pore Hospital Kargil and took a detailed assessment of services being provided to the patients and inspected its various sections.
Hon’ble Lt. Governor inspected the delivery room, operation theatre, etc and enquired about the facilities available. He was informed that the deliveries are also conducted in the hospital.
Councilor GM Pore, Syed Ali also apprised him about the dearth of doctors in the hospital.
The hon’ble Lt. Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra, while addressing the public, urged them to avail themselves of government schemes for maximum benefits.
Affirming his commitment, the hon’ble Lt. Governor said the UT administration is committed to corruption free and delay free Ladakh.
While replying the various demands presented by the Councilor GM Pore, the hon’ble Lt. Governor assured necessary actions in accordance with established norms.
During the visit, the hon’ble Lt.
