Leh, Jan 07: Executive Councillor for RDD, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee visited villages of Durbuk, Tangtse, Tharuk, Shachukul, and Fulak villages of Durbuk sub-division and interacted with the residents of his constituency on Saturday.
During his visit, EC Tashi Yakzee distributed subsidised pelleted feed and milk replacers to the sheep/goat herders of Durbuk Sub-Division through the Department of Sheep Husbandry, Leh. BVO Durbuk Dr. Rafful, concerned area representatives including Sarpanches and Nambardars were present.
EC Tashi Yakzee informed the residents that the Hill Council’s objective behind distributing these feeds is to provide essential winter supplementary feeding for livestock, ensuring their well-being during the harsh winter months.
Simultaneously, the distribution of milk replacers is a crucial step to mitigate mortalities among kids and lambs, addressing the threat of starvation.
