Leh, Jan 02: Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal chaired a meeting to review the ongoing progress of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Leh District today on January 2 at DC Conference Hall.
Additional District Development Commissioner, (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Norboo gave a detail update on the progress of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp in urban and rural areas in which he added that 182 Gram panchayats have been covered in both Leh and Kargil District where 13,229 people attended, 7540 people screened in Health Camps during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp.
Furthermore, he also briefed about the overall progress of the Urban area in which 4 locations have been covered in which 2353 people attended. Also, 23 people shared their successful stories through Meri Khani Meri Zubani.
He said that the main objective of this scheme is to saturate the Centrally Sponsored Scheme and provide benefits to local people through this scheme.
Member of Parliament, Ladakh suggested that the benefit of this scheme should be provided to rural remote areas in Kargil where there is no connectivity of road. Also, he directed the concerned officials to provide the benefit of the scheme to the students of Ladakh who are studying outside Ladakh and directed to organise camps in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar.
Additionally, he asked to organise Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp in the Tibetan Community in Leh.
