Kargil, Dec 22: To assess the grievances pertaining to development in various sectors Executive Councilor I&FC/ PHE, LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohammad Feroz today visited various villages of the Shargole Constituency.
He was accompanied by Executive Engineer PMGSY Division Kargil, Manzoor Ahmad, Councilor Shargole, Mohd Jawad, Assistant Executive Engineer PHE Right, Ghulam Hassan Najar, BDO Shargole and various other concerned officers and officials.
During the tour, the Executive Councilor visited villages including Tingdoo, Nunamchay and Darket and interacted with various public delegations including PRI members.
At Tingdoo, the public delegation presented a demand of memorandum which included Extension of road 2½ km under PMGSY, repairing of old pipeline, repairing of irrigation pipe line Tacho to Talai, construction of irrigation canal at Tacho, construction of Marriage Hall, construction of Cricket Playground at Zgogthang, construction of multipurpose Indoor Stadium at Zgogthang, need of Ambulance at Sub Centre Tingdoo, construction of New Govt. Model Middle School building Tingdoo at Zgogthang (which is already sanctioned) maintenance of electric pole Kuntat to Harmindoo and HT Line Shargole to Tingdoo, minor issues related JJM Scheme in the village, need of a veterinary centre at Tingdoo, construction of Icy Hockey ring at Talai, construction of shelter shart at Tacho Tingdoo etc.
In response to requests for road extension, repair of the old pipeline, and fixing the irrigation pipeline from Tacho to Talai, the EC assured that the concerns would be addressed and resolved under established norms.
Regarding the minor issues related JJM Scheme, the EC directed the concerned department to look into the matter and solve the issues as per norms. He also directed the concerned for the completion of tendering process of the school building.
While replying the other demands, the EC assured that their genuine demands will be looked into within specific timelines.
At Nunamchay, the public delegation informed the Executive Councilor about various issues about development sector under the construction of link road, footpath, maintenance of irrigation canal, installation of tower, drinking water supply and Jal Jeevan Mission etc. The EC directed the BDO Shargole to examine the issue related the construction of footpath.
He also instructed the R&B Department to prepare a DPR for the link road. He assured that all the issues will be followed up as per norms.
At Darket, the EC gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised by the public delegation and assured that all the issues related irrigation will be addressed as per norms. He said after the extension of JJM Scheme in the district, all the minor issues related JJM including the requirement of submersible pumps will be solved in a specific time as per norms.
He also assured that the demand of upgradation of Medical Centre Darket to NTPHC/Trauma Centre will be followed up as per norms.
Meanwhile, the EC also visited the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centre, Darket and took assessment of the facilities like electricity, water, washroom etc.
