Leh, Dec 17: On the evening of December 16, 2023, at approximately 8:00 PM, a hit-and-run incident occurred near Spituk Markhalaka. A pedestrian was struck by an unidentified vehicle, and the driver fled the scene, leaving the victim behind.
Based on the above information police post housing colony started investigation and with the help of technical and human intelligence, they were able to identify the vehicle and apprehend the accused driver within 15 hours.
In accordance with the severity of the offense, FIR No 221/2023 has been registered against the arrested driver. The detained individual is now in custody, and the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run has been seized for further investigation.
