Kargil, Dec 10: Secretary to the Honourable Lt. Governor of UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar, DC/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Shrikant Suse, today visited Auditorium Hall in Kargil to oversee rehearsals ahead of the nationwide ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ event.
Joint Director Information/Additional Secretary, Higher Education, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Rector Kargil Campus University of Ladakh, Chief Planning Officer, Abdul Hadi besides other concerned officers/officials were present on the occasion.
The Secretary instructed the relevant departments and officials to ensure the successful execution of the event.
The University of Ladakh has been assigned the responsibility of organizing the Viksit Bharat @2047 event by the UT Administration. The event will feature a virtual address by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Additionally, the Hon’ble LG, UT Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), will address the gathering at the Auditorium Hall in Kargil.
The event will include panel discussions on the themes of a thriving and sustainable economy, as well as innovation, science, and technology. Moreover, students and faculty of the University of Ladakh will also engage in the event.
Event will be attended by Executive Council of LAHDC Kargil,VC Ladakh University, Secretary to HLG and other officials.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ on 11th December, 2023 via video conferencing. The Prime Minister will also address the Vice Chancellors of the Universities, Heads of Institutes and faculty members in workshops organized at Raj Bhawans across the country, which will symbolize the start of the initiative.
Viksit Bharat@2047 is the vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. The vision encompasses various aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and good governance, among others.
