Kargil, Dec 10: As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), a program was organized today at Lhalung, Silmo Panchayats of Sodh Block.
BDC Sodh Zakir Hussain, BDO Sodh/Day Nodal Officer, Mukhtar Ali, Sarpanches, Panches, officials from diverse departments, including Agriculture, RD&PRD, Health, Social Welfare, Food and Supplies, Handloom, Fisheries, Cooperative Societies, NRLM along with representatives from various other line departments, actively participated in the event.
The programme was held under the supervision of BDO and Day Nodal Officer Mukhtar Ali besides BDC Chairperson Sodh Zakir Hussain were also present during the occasion.
The live speech of honourable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi on the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was watched at Panchayat Halqa Lalung in presence BDC Sodh, PRIs members, other departments and public were screened.
During the event, the officers interacted and reached out to the citizens eligible under various welfare schemes, disseminating information and fostering awareness about the government-sponsored public-centric schemes.
Experts from different departments and institutions including agriculture, horticulture, ICDS, Health, Social Welfare, NRLM, Handloom, etc. held interactive sessions with the locals wherein they were informed about the procedures to avail these welfare schemes.
During the camp in both the Panchayats, 24 Aadhaar Cards were updated and 02 new Aadhar Cards were generated besides 10 Ayushman cards were updated, 16 ABHA cards were linked and 53 people attended the OPD of the Health department.
The health camp was aimed to identify and adress the health issues promote preventive health care. The initiative prioritized providing medical care and treatment to those unable to afford it, reflecting a commitment to accessible healthcare for all.
During the program, officials of the Health Department briefed the general public about the goal of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and underlined its mission. They were also briefed about healthcare schemes. The camp witnessed huge participation of the people.
