Nubra, Dec 07: Department of Political Science, Govt. Degree College, Nubra in collaboration with Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (Tehsildar) Nubra, Tufail Ahmed conducted a SVEEP Programme in the college today.
The programme began with the welcome speech by Dr. Tsewang Mutup, Principal, Govt. Degree College, Nobra. Assistant Professor Rinchen Angmo then briefed about the SVEEP Programme to the audience. It was followed by Tufail Ahmad, Tehsildar, Disket and Wasim Rizwan, Tehsildar, Sumoor who spoke elaborately about the need to enhance voter awareness and promote voter education and literacy.
On the occasion, a speech competition was organized on the occasion, whereby, students actively took part and presented their thoughts about the flagship programme of Election Commission of India. Rigzen Namgyal secured 1st Position, 2nd position was taken by Shah Jahan and Zara Batul stood 3rd position. The winners were presented with prizes.
