Kargil, Dec 05: Executive Councilor, I&FC/PHE/Urban Dev LAHDC, Kargil Kacho Mohammad Feroz today chaired a review meeting regarding Sewerage Treatment Plants (STPs) in Kargil Town.
Superintending Engineer, PHE, I&FC Kargil, Maqbool Hussain; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kargil, Muhammad Sharief; Chief Agriculture Officer Kargil, Kacho Mohammad; Executive Engineer I&FC Kargil, Issa Ali; Executive Officer MC Kargil, Shafqat Ali; Tehsildar Kargil, Kacho Asgar Ali Khan; Councilor Town, Haji Abaas; besides concerned officers were present during the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on different aspects related to implementing Sewerage Treatment Plants in Kargil Town.
The meeting was apprised about the comprehensive Sewerage System and STPs for Kargil town. Detailed insights were given on various components of the projects.
The EC was informed about the project, design of STPs, challenges regarding the project, approach and methodology, and various other vital components.
The EC directed to prepare the DPR for the sites of the STPs for which land has been alloted.
The EC directed that regarding identification of new land for the pending sites of STPs, the concerned consultancy in collaboration with Revenue Department and Municipal Committee will conduct a final survey so that revenue papers of land are finalized and work starts at the earliest.
The EC further directed the concerned officers to clear all the pendencies related to the project. He said it is a vital project for the development of Kargil town and expressed hope that it will resolve the sewerage problems in Kargil town in future.
