Police uncovers illegal gambling operation in Choglamsar: 6 served notices

In a significant operation, the Choglamsar Police Post, acting on information from a reliable source, executed a search warrant under Section 05 of the Public Gambling Act. The targeted premises, located in the Zampa area of Choglamsar, belonged to Tsering Dolker, wife of Soba Gyalpo, residing at Zampa, Choglamsar.

During the search operation, law enforcement officials seized a substantial amount of cash on bets, totalling Rs 23,980 INR. Subsequently, a case has been registered with FIR No. 214/2023 under Section 3/4 of the Public Gambling Act at the Police Station Leh.

Six individuals namely Tashi Rigzen resident of Lamayuru Leh, Raj Kumar Oley resident of Prumgara Dang Nepal A/P Chuchoot Leh, Spanha Lamo resident of Alampu, Sindh Pal Chowk, Jeera Tamang resident of Bugmati Nuwakot Kharkha Nepal at present in Skalzangling Leh, Sukuman Moktam resident of Sarlahi Bhungrekhola Nepal A/P Zampa, Choglamsar Leh & Kep Bahadur Rokaya resident of Sappata Bajura Nepal A/P Choglamsar Zampa have been identified and served notices under section 41-A Cr.P.C.
