Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Shrikant Suse today chaired the District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee meeting in his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by ACR Kargil, Program Officer ICDS, SDM Drass, Tehsildar Shargole/Taisuru/Shakar Chiktan/Sankoo, Kargil, Deputy CEO, Kargil, Deputy Superintendent of Police Kargil, Cluster Head, J&K Bank, CSC Manager Kargil, DE BSNL, Kargil, India Post Kargil and Manager, UIDAI Kargil.
Initially, Taief Mir, the Manager of UIDAI Kargil, provided an overview of Aadhaar saturation statistics in Kargil. This included age categories such as up to 5 years, 5 years to 18 years, and 18 years and older, along with the current status of Aadhaar kits in the Kargil district.
The Deputy Commissioner was also briefed about the ongoing initiatives aimed at encompassing the age groups of 0-5 years and 5-18 years in the Kargil district.
DC Kargil assessed the progress of Aadhaar enrolment and updating carried out by Ladakh e-Governance Agency (LEGA), ICDS, School Education Department, CSC, and J&K Banks. The concerned officer was directed to ensure the functionality of all available kits.
The DC inquired about the State Government Portal’s progress and the Aadhaar Camps conducted during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. Instructing all nodal officers, the DC emphasized the verification of all enrolments for individuals above 18 within a 45-day timeframe. Additionally, BDOs were directed to oversee Aadhaar camps during the VBSY.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the SDMs to coordinate with the Department of Education and Ladakh E-Governance Agency to organize camps in their respective subdivisions.
Additionally, he issued instructions to the ICDS to enhance Aadhaar enrolment saturation for the 0-to-5-year age group. Furthermore, he directed SDM and SDM Sankoo to allocate space for CSC.
He also directed all SDMs to ensure maximum mobilisation for Adhaar enrolment and updation during ongoing Viksit Bharat Samkalp Yatra to benefit of general public. Moreover, the DC advised UIDAI manager to organize combined camps along with health department for beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat registration (Golden Card) across blocks.
