Leh, Dec 01: Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting Friday to assess the progress of the implementation of the PM Vishwakarma Scheme in the district at the VC room.
During the meeting, Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh provided an update, informing that 32 beneficiaries have already been registered under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Furthermore, the ACD informed that a total of 243 beneficiaries have been identified for the scheme.
Emphasizing the need for proactive measures, DC Leh Santosh Sukhadeve issued directives to the District Panchayat Officer, Leh to identify 85 Sarpanches by December 4, emphasising the importance of timely and efficient execution of the scheme.
In another important move, DC Leh Sukhadeve directed the Block Development Officer (BDO) Leh to expedite the Aadhar updation process on a fast-track basis to ensure that beneficiaries are seamlessly integrated into the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
DC Leh emphasized the importance of saturating the scheme to support local artisans and fostering economic growth through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
The meeting was attended by Gen Manager DIC; Executive Officer, MC Leh; Superintendent Handloom, Leh; Assistant Director Handicraft, Leh; District Manager, CSC Leh. Besides, all the BDOs attended the meeting virtually.
