Kargil, Dec 01: Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain Friday conducted a comprehensive inspection of various government schools in Taisuru and assessed the overall functioning of schools in the constituency.
The visit was aimed to evaluate and improve the educational scenario, underscoring a steadfast dedication to ensuring quality education accessible to all.
The EC was accompanied by Chief Education Officer, Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmad, Councilor Taisuru Abdul Hadi, Deputy CEO, ZEO Taisuru and other concerned officers and officials.
The visit involved thorough inspections at educational institutions, underscoring the council’s commitment to raising the standard of education in the region.
The schools covered during this tour included Govt. Middle School Karpokhar, Government Middle School Gailing, Government Middle School Thangboo, Government Higher Secondary School Biama Purtikchey, Government Middle School Damasna, Government Primary School Youljuk Thang, Government High School Youljuk, Government Middle School Maita, Government Council Model High School Kargee and Government Higher Secondary School Panikhar.
At GMS Thangboo, the school administration raised their concerns and submitted a memorandum of demands. These requests encompassed the necessity for a Urdu teacher, as well as improvements in drainage and flooring for the ground.
In response to the raised concerns, the Executive Councillor reassured them that their legitimate demands would be promptly addressed and resolved in accordance with established norms.
At the Govt. Higher Secondary School, Biama Purtikchey, the EC inspected the laboratory and took assessment of facilities.
The school management presented a memorandum of demands, outlining requirements such as a school bus, the installation of a central heating system in classrooms, timely construction of a new school building, among others. The Executive Councilor assured them that their genuine demands would be duly followed up and addressed.
The other schools visited witnessed appeals for enhanced infrastructures, access to electricity, heating, toilet, drinking water facilities, enhancement of the staff, etc.
While responding to the concerns the Executive Councillor assured them that the genuine demands will be fulfilled in due course of time. The EC stressed for healthy teacher-student-parent relationships for enhanced educational outcomes.
Earlier, the EC accompanied by Councillor Lankarchay Ghulam Haider, visited Govt. Council Middle School Lankerchey Thang to inspect the functioning of the school.
The EC showed his dismay over low enrollment in some schools and advised the teachers and community for enhancement of enrolment in schools. He instructed ZEO to merge the schools having low enrollment with nearby schools.
