CNO JSA chairs meeting to review VBSY progress in Leh District

Leh, Nov 25:
 The Chief Nodal Officer (CNO) of Leh, for the Jal Shakti Abhiyan – Catch the Rain (JSA-CTR), Bipin Menon chaired a crucial meeting today to assess the ongoing progress of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) in Leh District in presence of Deputy Commissioner Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve at DC VC room.

Deputy Commissioner Sukhadeve provided a comprehensive overview of the strides made in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra initiatives. He apprised that, to date, 18 Gram Panchayats have been covered. Notably, 2033 participants took the VBSY pledge, showcasing a strong community commitment to the cause.

Health initiatives under the Yatra were also highlighted, with 1289 individuals screened in health camps. Among these, 293 were screened for tuberculosis, and 73 for sickle cell disease, emphasizing the holistic approach of the program.

Addressing the 100% saturation of various schemes, Deputy Commissioner Sukhadeve reported that 11 Gram Panchayats have achieved coverage under the Har Ghar Jal initiative, while 13 Gram Panchayats have been successfully covered under the ODF + MODEL scheme.

Providing further details, he mentioned the deployment of 16 Day Nodal Officers for rural areas and 1 Day Nodal Officer for Urban areas. Out of the total 95 Gram Panchayats, 17 have already been covered under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

In the end, officers present shared their valuable inputs with the Chief Nodal Officer for Leh.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Leh; SE PHE Leh; ACD Leh; Xen PHE Leh; ADIO Leh and other concerned officers and officials.
