12 Schools under Umbrella, MEIGS celebrates 1st Year by adopting another School

Kargil, Nov 24: In Ladakh, Movement for Educational Improvement in Government Schools (MEIGS) celebrated completion of one year of its establishment by adopting Government Girls Middle School Zgang Chiktan under its umbrella on Friday.
On this occasion Chairman MEIGS Abdul Gaffar Zargar SDM Shakar Chiktan, congratulated all its members and schools for their sincere effort for the development of quality education in government schools.
Abdul Gaffar Zargar also thanked Chairperson District Minerals Foundation Trust Kargil (Deputy Commissioner) Shirikant Suse for sanctioning funds for the initiative.
He said that MEIGS now with 12 government member schools with an approximate 700 students is the biggest initiative by volunteer government officers for a cause to improve the quality of education in Government Run Schools for the benefit of the Society.
During the year MEIGS starts many initiatives, competitions, and self Defense Programmes as a Co-curriculum activity. On this occasion Chairman MEIGS also distributes tracksuits, caps, school ID cards, and school dairies among its member schools, despite these MEIGS resolved many disputes and infrastructure problems by taking the matter with concerned authorities.
The main objective of MEIGS, is to develop the quality education and to enhance the students roles in government schools and by far MEIGS with the Chairmanship of Abdul Gaffar Zargar have succeeded to some extent to revolutionize the initiative.
