Leh, Nov 08: J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), Leh in collaboration with DIET Leh conducted an awareness cum orientation session regarding Jammu Kashmir State Open School (JKSOS) schemes at Ladakh Scouts Regiment Centre (LSRC) Phyang here.
A large number of army personnel attended the session. The main objective of the orientation programme was to ensure successful outreach of JKSOS schemes at every nook and corner especially in the army and paramilitary units in UT of Ladakh.
Tashi Tundup, Assistant Secretary JKBOSE Leh thoroughly explained to the soldiers the various benefits of JKSOS schemes and emphasized its importance in enhancing their qualifications. Many of the soldiers expressed a keen interest in taking advantage of the opportunities provided by JKSOS through its programme.
He emphasized that the JKBOSE has again extended the dates for admission in class 10th and 12th JKSOS for the year 2023-24 till 13th November so that the maximum number of interested candidates can avail the opportunity of the scheme. It was also informed that the JKBOSE shall soon release the Academic Calendar for the current session of JKSOS Scheme.
Tsewang Dolma, Coordinator DIET Leh also stressed them to enhance the qualifications for their well-being and future career prospects.
This visit was an important step in spreading awareness about the benefits of our programs and helping our brave soldiers to achieve their academic and future prospects. It will be a great contribution to society if we all can join hands together to reach out to the needy groups so that optimum benefit can be extracted from such a scheme.
