Leh, Oct 01: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve Block Development Officer of Rural Development Department Khaltse, Pankaj Rajput conducted a mega cleanliness drive at main market Khaltse today under the theme ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’.
The cleanliness drive commenced from the main bridge Khaltse to all market areas.
District Panchayat Officer,(DPO) Leh, Junaid Amin participated as the chief guest whereas Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad participated as guest of honour in the cleanliness drive rally.
DPO, Leh Junaid Amin and SDM, Khaltse, Suhail Ahmad flagged off the cleanliness drive rally and also took pledge under the ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’
Officers/officials of Khaltse Sub Division; students of GDC Khaltse, PRI members, VLWs of RDD Khaltse, Women Alliance Khaltse, Staff of CHC Khaltse, villagers , shopkeepers and hoteliers participated in the cleanliness drive.
Besides, SHO Khaltse, Feroz Khan also deployed police personnel during the cleanliness drive really.
Similarly, the same cleanliness drive was also conducted at Skurbuchan block and various Panchayat Halqas of Singaylalok block such as Wanla, Lingshed, and Youlchung Panchayat Halqas under the theme ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’ and took pledge under the ‘Swachhata Hi Sewa’.
Officers/officials of various, department, Sarpanches, Nambardars, Panchayat Inspector, Panches, PRIs members, VLWs and villagers participated in the cleanliness drive.
