199EARTH NEWS SERVICE  Jammu, Dec 20 |15: Government Ayurvedic Hospital Jammu organized a seminar on ECG; A Diagnostic tool for Ayurvedic Physicians. Dr. Taran Singh M.S. said that this is the 4th lecture in the series and Government Ayurvedic Hospital has started this program in order to upgrade the knowledge of the staff working in the hospital to full fill the dream of Health Minister Choudhary Lal Singh to make J&K healthy. He further added that by sharing the knowledge not only we upgrade own knowledge but also we can take Ayurvedic System of Medicine ahead and will benefit the patients and society. He appreciating the speakers for their contribution through their lectures presented on the occasion by means of Power point presentations. He further added that Ayurvedic physicians should use these diagnostic tools to confirm their diagnosis done on the basis of Tridosh i.e. Vaat-Pitta and Kuff. The main speaker was Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal Assistant District Medical Officer Kathua while presenting his paper by means of power point presentation give description about the ECG its uses in diagnosing heart ailment such as analysis of abnormal rhythms, detection and localization of changes in the myocardium due to coronary artery disease, detection of hypertrophy of the walls of atria and ventricles, detection of changes in electrical activity due to pericardial disease, detection of changes in electrical activity of the heart consequent on general metabolic changes . He explained how to use ECG to confirm diagnosis made on the bases of Ayurvedic principles. Dr. Aruna Bhat, Dr. Bipin Chander, Dr. Ankita, Dr. Neetu Handoo, Dr. Ifrah Dilnawaz, Dr. Sonika Gupta were present on the occasion along with interns and other staff of the hospital.
