KARGIL: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) inaugurated the Motorable Bridge with Footpaths over Suru River at Zamistiang in Kargil on the fourth day of his tour to Kargil.

Chairperson, LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan was present during the inauguration.

Feroz informed the LG that the bridge will improve connectivity and facilitate movement for the convenience of the public.  The intermediate lane motorable bridge with footpaths on both sides over the Suru River has been built by PW(R&B) Department at a cost of Rs 5.60 crores.

Executive Councillors of LAHDC Kargil- Aga Syed Mehdi Fazily, Mubarak Shah Naqvi and Mohsin Ali; Councillors and BDCs; Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Santosh Sukhdeve; SSP Kargil, Anayat Ali Chaudhary and concerned PWD and district officials were present during the inauguration of the bridge.
