Jammu: A high-level meeting of all the Vice Chancellors of Universities, Directors of institutions and other heads of institutions of Jammu division will be held at Convention Centre Jammu today to deliberate and decide on how to foster a strong inter-institutional connect/collaboration among the universities and institutions of the region.
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh will chair the meeting which will also be attended by Professor Ajay Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) to the Government of India, and Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR & Secretary DSIR. This is for the first time a joint meeting of heads of all Science & Technology and academic institutions is being held in Jammu.
This meeting will be attended by Vice Chancellors of different universities viz. Cluster University of Jammu (CJU); Jammu University (JU); Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU); Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU); Central University of Jammu (CUJ); Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST). Further, Directors/Principals of different central & state institutes of national importance including CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jammu, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jammu and Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu will also join the meeting. Professor Ajay Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor would give a road map for all the institutions to operate in synergy/ collaboration to share research, infrastructures/facilities for a better outcome.
