EH: The union territory of Ladakh is going to host one of its kind ‘Vibrant Ladakh’ the highest altitude sustainable show on land from June 23 to July 4, this year.
The event will be held at the World’s Highest Motorable Road, Umling-La Pass, in the Changthang region this summer, and will be aligned with India’s G20 celebration theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”.
This was informed as Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh, Tashi Gyalson on Monday convened a meeting with officials of World Cinema Partners to discuss plans for the upcoming event.
The program is aimed to promote tourism in Leh town of Ladakh, with delegates and celebrities from various G20 nations expected to participate.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the Vibrant Villages Programme to strengthen border regions and their cultural diversity would also be a key focus of the event,” the CEC informed.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for Art & Culture, Stanzin Chosphel; Councillor Nyoma, Ishey Spalzang; Councillor Korzok, Karma Namdak; ADC Leh, Sonam Chosjor; CPO Leh, Tsewang Gyaltson; AD Tourism Leh, Tsering Spalzes, and SDM Nyoma, Jigmet Wangchuk. World Cinema Partners, represented by Dr. Raghunandan, Pankaj K Gupta, Raaj Rahhi, and Mayank Tripathi attended the meeting.
