Jammu: Gaurav Gupta, Secretary Jammu Club today met the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha who is also the Patron of Jammu Club and discussed various significant issues related to the development of this prestigious Club in the City of Temples.

During his meeting with the LG, Gaurav Gupta at the very outset congratulated him for breaking into the top 25 ‘Most Powerful Indians’ list recently. While complimenting the Lt Governor for the outstanding feat, he said that it is an aptly deserved honour to the LG especially in view of steering Jammu and Kashmir through all odds and transforming the developmental and welfare scenario of this traumatized region.

Gaurav Gupta expressed profound gratitude to the Lt Governor Sinha for visiting the Club saying that the members of the club have got motivated since his visit and have become much more proactive in pursuing the endeavours initiated by the Club under his precious patronage and guidance. It is not the Club only that has seen a new dawn under LG Administration but Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory on the whole is moving fast on the path of development since LG Sinha assumed the charge J&K, he added.

The Jammu Club Secretary acknowledged with humility that the dream projects of Jammu like Tawi River Front, Jammu Zoo, Tawi Barrage projects, etc are seeing light of the day due to LG Sinha’s relentless efforts in ensuring that equitable development rules the roost in J&K. He told the LG that earlier there seemed to be no scope for completion of such projects but now with his frequent visits to these sites and passing on significant directions to the authorities and work execution agencies the people are hopeful of early completion of these projects. He said this will give a big boost to tourism and overall economy of Jammu and also to the Union Territory.
