Jammu: Danish Mishra, Bharatiya Jana Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Vice President Jammu and Kashmir, while welcoming the beginning of a new era of foreign investments in Jammu and Kashmir, has asserted that such investments are going to lay the foundation for a stronger Jammu and Kashmir with a more prosperous future for the people of this Union Territory. He said that laying the foundation stone of a mega-mall in Srinagar district by the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is the first direct foreign investment project in the UT and it involves construction cost of Rs. 250 crore.
In a statement issued to media here today, Danish Mishra that direct foreign investment is a component of the Govt’s mega investment plan for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir that focuses on unprecedented Industrial investment to ensure economic growth of J&K and its people.
Asserting that all credit for such initiatives goes to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that the PM has already performed the groundbreaking ceremony for projects worth Rs. 38,000 crore.
The BJYM leader stated that the coming up Mall of Srinagar will definitely transform this UT by boosting infrastructure, employment generation and ease of living. Since this is going to be one of the largest malls in the Northern India with more than 500 shops, thousands of J&K youth will get jobs besides the local entrepreneurs will get an opportunity to showcase their products for sale in this prestigious Mall of J&K which is expected to witness a heavy footfall of buyers including the tourists after its completion.
Danish Mishra said that registering phenomenal growth in different sectors and in terms of knowledge, physical and digital connectivity Jammu and Kashmir has performed exceptionally well during the past three years.
The BJYM leader asserted this in itself proves the success story of J&K under the stewardship of LG Administration with full support of the Union Govt led by PM Modi. He added that as a result of the relentless efforts of the Govt even the industry leaders from across the world are becoming part of the new industrial revolution in Jammu Kashmir. Undoubtedly J&K is all set for an unprecedented transformation in the coming time, he added.
