Leh, March 13: Under the banner of India’s G20 Presidency, a quiz competition was organized by NCC Unit of EJM College and 1 Ladakh BN NCC Leh at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, here today.

Lt Colonel VAS Johar, SM, Commanding Officer of 1 Ladakh BN NCC was the Chief Guest of the event. The program began with a welcome speech by Principal Dr Sameena Iqbal who talked about the importance of G20 Presidency to India and how it would be an opportunity for Ladakh to discuss its problems and opportunities.

A total of four groups (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta) participated in the Quiz Competition under three rounds. Questions related to G20 were asked to the participants. The first and the second round were qualifying and 02 teams qualified to the third and final round.

All the students participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. Team Charlie won the competition and Team Alpha was the runner up.

Commanding Officer of 1 Ladakh BN NCC Leh, Lt Col VAS Johar, SM while sharing his thoughts with the participants and NCC Cadets impressed upon the role of youths as well as NCC Cadets in realizing the aims and objectives of G20 and also highlighted the meaning and importance of G20. He thanked the principal EJM College for organizing the program and also thanked the organizers for making the event a success.
The entire program was coordinated and organized by Lt Dr Ujwala Anandrao Koche (ANO) and Lt Sayed Mustafa Kamal (ANO).

At the end prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners as well as the participants.
