Leh Feb 24 :- The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) met General Officer Commanding (GOC), 14 Corps, Lt General Anindya Sengupta, at Raj Niwas.
The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) inquired about the position of security arrangements at the border areas of Ladakh. GOC 14 Corps Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta informed about the top preparedness of the Indian Army to defend the Indian territory at all cost.
Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) met Air Officer Commanding (AOC), 21 Wing Leh, Air Commodore Pankaj Kumar Srivastava, and emphasised the need to evacuate the stranded Ladakhi citizens out of Ladakh at the earliest. He informed him to airlift people of Ladakh stranded at Chandigarh, Jammu and Delhi over the next few days by IAF’s flights. Air Commodore PK Mishra assured to take the necessary action.
Chief Engineer, Project Himank, Brigadier Gaurav Singh Karki, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) at Raj Niwas to give a detailed presentation on various infrastructure development works carried out by them in North-East and South-East Ladakh. He requested for the early issuance of administrative approval (AA) for the remaining packages for the construction of the Khalsar-Agham-Shayok Road, which is being issued now.
Lt Governor, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) stressed the need for the completion of the road within the stipulated time and also to check the quality of the work.
