REASI, DECEMBER 22: To discuss an action plan for maintaining cyber hygiene, a meeting was held here today under the Chairpersonship of ADDC Reasi, Jyoti Salathia here at DC Office Complex Reasi.

 

Detailed deliberations were held on various aspects which includes cyber hygiene and crime updates on different emerging trends viz identity theft, ransomware attacks, sextortion, WhatsApp and Facebook cloning with the participants. They were sensitized about cyber security particularly the use of digital/ online/ virtual mode like e-office and different digital services.

 

DIO NIC, Ashish informed about fake accounts and how criminals dupe thousands of innocent people by impersonating and other weird methods. He gave many tips to the participants on protection against cyber crime.

 

The resource person educated the audience about cyber crime and the need for strengthening cyber security for the prevention of cyber crime.

 

He highlighted the need of creating awareness among the youth about cybercrime and how to deal with it. He stressed the need to have frequent workshops, seminars, interactive, creative sessions, and other activities to raise awareness and control cyber-crime.     

 

 DIO NIC presented a detailed overview of the cyber-crime scenario across the globe, with special reference to UT of Jammu and Kashmir. He acquainted the participants about the nuances of the cyber-crime and discussed certain safety measures.

 

The meeting was attended by CPO Sunita Kanchan, CEO Sunita Bali, CMO, DSHO, DTO, LMO, AD Fisheries beside other district officers.
