Leh, Dec 3:  The annual observance of International Day of People with Disability, organised by Chief Education Office Leh was held today. With the aim of transformative solutions for inclusive development the role of innovation in fuelling an accessible and equitable world.

Chairman/CEC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson was the chief guest & Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh,Tsering Angchuk was the guest of honour of the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, CEC Tashi Gyalson admire the enthusiastic participation of differently abled students. He added that this day has given an opportunity to show case their talents and stressed to harness the potential of them. He further added that In honor of the inherent dignity and worth of disabled people around the world and in recognition of the immeasurable contributions people with disabilities have made, we must continue to build a more inclusive and equitable world. He stressed to celebrate today with pride and encourage everyone to lift up their dignity.

CEC mentioned that LAHDC will organise exposure program for the specially-abled children of leh soon.

Deputy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk addresses that this day is celebrated all over the world and appreciated the performances of the differently abled student. He also appreciated the work of NGOs and spoke on the importance of the role of parents in shaping the future of differently abled students. He further added that the Hill Council, Leh, and the Ladakh Administration are making all possible efforts to make Ladakh accessible for all by adding inclusive facilities in terms of infrastructure and special needs of persons with disabilities.

The participants and supporters were felicitated with gifts and certificates.CEO, DEPO, ZEOs, President from REWA, PAGIR, MUNSEL and students and teachers of Inclusive Education GHS Chuchot, volunteer doctors were present.
