Kargil: Continuing with his Kargil tour, the Member Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today visited Sankoo town and Barsoo Valley.
He also visited Umaba, Stakpa, Namgma, College Campus Sankoo, CHC Sankoo Hospital, Barsoo village, Tiket, Yarchok, and Thasgam villages and assessed the problems of people. Drinking water, lift irrigation, mobile tower, ambulance service, school upgradation, flood effects, and promotion of tourism were the common demands in every village in Sankoo and Barsoo valley.
The MP also held a review meeting in Hospital at Sankoo. He held a threadbare discussion on basic problems like availability of Physicians, Mobile Medical Unit, and Pending Salary. He assured to mitigate the problems by taking up the issue with concerned quarters. He was accompanied by SDM, BDO, AEE and other officials of PHE, Irrigation and flood Control Department and Tourism Department etc.
Earlier, he was accorded rousing reception at Tambis especially by his party workers. He also visited GM Pore, Saliskote and Farona. The people demanded link road connection, repairing work of road, new road for graveyard centre; and also highlighted computer and water issues in the local school
