Leh, Nov 06: A one-day workshop-cum-training session for the government laboratory technicians/laboratory assistants and blood bank technicians of Leh district was held today at the Conference Hall of SNM Hospital, Leh.
Sanjeev Koul, Director and Aejaz Shah, General Manager of Chemi Health Diagnostics were the resource persons for the session.
A total of 30 technicians along with Dr Tsetan Dolkar, Pathologist and Mohd Bashir, Drug Controller, UT Ladakh attended the session.
Delivering comprehensive training, the resource persons apprised the professionals about the importance of their job for proper diagnosis and treatment of the disease. They informed that 60 to 70% of admission, medication and discharge of the patients depend on the diagnostic reports.
They urged the participants to take utmost care during blood sampling, mixing, storage and calibration of instruments to ensure that correct results are generated for the diagnosis and the treatment of patients.
