EARTH NEWS SERVICE Baramulla, Dec 17 |15: Calling for community oriented governance, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir Dr. Asgar Samoon today stressed on revenue officers to ensure efficient service delivery to the public. Div Com issued strict directions to remove encroachments from State and Khascharai land during a review meeting of revenue department, here today. District Development Commissioner, Baramulla Yasha Mudgal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildars were present in the meeting. A thorough review of functioning of revenue department in district Baramulla was taken during the meeting. Tehsildars informed the Divisional Commissioner about progress on removal of encroachments from State and Kahcharai land in the district. During the meeting discussion was also held on four laning of Srinagar-Baramulla highway and solid waste management. A review of Gulmarg master Plan, Land settlement and electoral registration was also held. Meanwhile, Div Com directed revenue officers to carry out eviction from State and Khascharai land in a targeted manner. He added that disaster preparedness and Girdawari preparation should also be given priority.
