Rajouri, August 10: To take account of public grievances at their doorsteps, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Wednesday convened a public outreach camp here at Kotedhera under the aegis of weekly Block Diwas programme.

BDC Rajouri, Darbar Chowdhary; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Shoket Mehmood Malik; ACD, Vijay Kumar CMO, Dr  Abdul Hamid Zargar; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; ExEn Jal Shakti Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Hasan Mohammad besides other district and sectoral officers were present at the event.

The public and panchayat representatives apprised the DDC about a number of issues and demands of their areas. They demanded new road projects, up-gradation of schools, better health services, paucity of staff in Government institutions and other related issues.

The officers of different departments also replied to the queries raised by the public and educated them about the Government schemes and programmes and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands projected on the occasion and assured the people of early redress of all genuine concerns.

Addressing the public during the event, the DDC reiterated that the District Administration is making untiring to provide succor and basic facilities to the common masses at their doorsteps and redress the grievances timely.

He also sought the active cooperation of the general public with the District Administration to take their areas to new heights of development.

Highlighting several Government schemes and programs meant for the welfare of the general public, he urged the people to come forward and avail the benefits of the same.

Later, the DDC also launched an ambulance service for Kotedhera which was provided by the Tribal Department.
